some people marry to avoid other feelings like: lonely, insecure, doubt, horny, needy, sad... Many women date a jerk because they don't think they can find anyone better, or don't feel they deserve anyone better, or they simply don't want to be alone until the right one comes along. Many men marry because it was so hard finding someone to begin with they don't want to do it again, or they like what they have and don't want anything to change.

which brings me to my next point. Women often marry because they think things will change. And why wouldn't they? Life changes, and we change with it. But many men expect no change after marriage. They prefer no change. And marriage for men often seems to be the end goal. But for women marriage is the beginning of a new journey. How disappointed each must be when they discover they're going in different directions.
