Contrary to popular belief, Attila the Hun was not merely the ruthless, primitive, brute-force, bloodthirsty barbarian as he was often portrayed to be in superficial history books. He had (for his time) considerably sophisticated political and administrative skills including intelligence gathering (opposition research), human factors management, arbitration and delegation of authority.

I'm not saying that he was a nice guy but:

Unlike most contemporary politicians, he was known to keep his word once a bargain was struck.

* ( Most of the History that we were taught in school was oversimplified and distorted so, it takes independent investigation to get a more accurate picture.)
