I might as well.  This is the only social-networking site I'm still on (mostly because of the inability to delete your account).  I've been seeing a psychiatrist and therapist and they're trying to cure me of this lull I've been having over the last few years.  Maybe my profile can be even more upbeat in the future, if my medication and therapy actually work right.  As I mentioned, I've been diagnosed with dysthymia and my psychiatrist wants me to file for social-security disability, so that I'll get a check and not be such a burden on my relatives (sponging off them all the time).

I picked what I thought was the best of my uploaded pics for my default.  If you like one of the others better, reply and say so.  Of course, you can also reply to anything in this message.

? when the behavior is concsistent it means there's an underlying pattern. occasionally it's something like hypoglycemia, but it's difficult to get that to such a degree. the varying glucose levels push/pull different hormones and transmitters. Think of a bath tub that changes temp and consistency. the occupants mood/experience would shift with the changes.

Another way to do it is to have a self limiting belief that generates to everything. Here's an example- a caveman watches a friend pick up a coral snake. It's got pretty colors. 15 minutes after the bite the friend dies. 16 minutes after the bite the caveman has a fear of coral snakes. The next time he sees a snake, maybe a python or something but not a coral snake, his brain triggers a phobic response. that's called learning.

the problem with us and learning is that the brain learns negative things as well as positive things. It doesn't descriminate. So, when it comes to generating a self limiting belief the brain can generate that feeling everywhere. That's how you get some agoraphobics- peopole who are afraid of leaving their house...

these kinds of things aren't as impossible to change as psychiatry and psychology think. For one thing- they often only use methods they learned in school (that don't usually work), and they only teach methods they condone (which don't usually work). I laugh to myself when they say they have a "practice" or are practicing.

Anyhow, neural researchers, like with neuroplasticity, could probably rewire the brain if they got creative. There are some other methods but don't have the tangible studies of most research.
