You probably read my post on scammers and their use of english. No, I'm not serious about helping them. It's called sarcasm.

So what's this post about? How to recognize and fight scammers. It's simple. You receive a message from someone. What do you do? How do you know they're a scammer?

Would that person actually approach you off the street? Would she or he give you their email/# without knowing you? If that's what's happening here on 101, there's a good chance they're just a scammer. If you're a middle-aged house exwife that hasn't won any beauty pagents, chances are the european prince with the private jet or whatever isn't really emailing you. And if you're a beer bellied male with little to no  job prospects, the super model online probably isn't emailing you either. It's probably some shady guy, posing as your dream date, in a foreign country trying to take your money.

They often leave a post on your page with t/h/e/i/r ___e/m/a/i/l  all chopped up. Oh is that a sneaky way to slip past 101's filters? uhh this place doesn't charge!! why would they care?

Take the scammers email and post it anywhere, everywhere on the internet. The reason why they don't post their full email is because they use bots to scan the internet and pull email addresses off it. Ever post your email on a forum, and then get spam? How did the spammers get your email, I wonder? (sarcasm again).

If they are dumb enough to give you their email without actually knowing you, you don't want to date them. they will do other dumb things and ruin your life. and they're probably not really looking to date anway- they just want your money.

So post back on their page with the email they gave you. This will send all the spammers and scammers to their inbox. serves them right, doesn't it?

yah, it is kind of fun to mock them. I don't actually use this place to date. It's just kind of fun to futz around here.

Yes, i agree with you. I was so disappointed in joining this site, it's shocking to know that so many scammers or a scammer who uses different id's and pictures and targeted innocent members. Is there a way to filter people registering in this site, to get rid of scammers? The reason why i deleted my pictures because i have discovered that I am talking to one person with different id's and pictures, the reason why they can't talk online with cam. Scammers should not be given a chance to enter any dating sites coz they are heartless and soul-less creatures. They are roaring lions just waiting for their prey to be devoured. Money is the only thing they love.

most crime now, aside from petty/rare instances, is like a network. It's groups of people casting a net. Sometimes the net or scam is "legitimized", like fishing for webcam clients. Or teaching women to scam men off the internet. and maybe even men. it's the modern con artist, stealing money from suckers. but it can only be done when we are really suckers.
