Does anyone out there have any insightful predictions for 2010 ???

Sure, it's easy to "predict" a major political scandal by next autumn, a sudden cabinet resignation and/or increasing energy prices, discontent, bureaucratic bungling, etc.

Where there are elephants and donkeys, there are piles of elephant and donkey droppings in the form of rhetoric, ideology,disinformation, deception and propaganda on top of the usual field of mindless media distractions.

Nothing short of an Independent renaissance (in which the laws of nature, economics, culture and government coincide accurately in the greater public interest) can even remotely hope to turn things around.

The problem is that for every independent thinker there are at least 10,000 political COOL AID drinkers on top of the millions who just don't give a dam.

HAPPY 2010 in spite of it all....
