Laptops give greater creative freedom. I do some of my best writing in bed or reclining with a laptop. At the moment I'm compiling a report on hydrokinetic power generation potential, but am turning in early tonight.
It's gotten below freezing here and I opened the faucets just before the pipes froze. It should be warmer in a few days.

A great day is a creative day... I spend more time on the Internet during the winter downloading information, recording ideas and wearing out the laptop.
We've had a few cold snaps and some snow, but mainly it's been relatively mild on Delmarva. A few weeks ago, we had daytime temperatures in the 60's.
Most of what I may have learned came about through natural curiosity and independent investigation in spite of the elementary, secondary and undergraduate educational systems.
